About the band
In Solid Air was formed in St Paul, Minnesota. With origins dating from 2022, their unique sound is primarily based in progressive hard rock, paired with many psychedelic, blues, and heavy metal influences. They share a fond love of dynamic rock music from many time periods, including '70s psychedelia and blues, '80s and '90s heavy metal, and '00s alternative.

Origins
In Solid Air was conceived by four friends from Concordia University, St Paul in September 2022. The group originally got its start in a traditional progressive-psych rock style, featuring Ethan Langemo (bass | organ | synthesizer | vocals), Chris Scott (electric guitar | piano | vocals), Donovan Cole (electric guitar | harmonica | vocals), and Ryan Skille (drums | percussion). This iteration of In Solid Air played a couple private events and one public show at The Pourhouse in downtown Minneapolis, all in early 2023, and a couple of early songs are still played in the band's live sets today. Founding member and bassist Ethan Langemo left the group in June 2023 to pursue a higher education. The remaining members continued as a trio, with Chris Scott moving from electric guitar to bass, and the sound developing into a tight, guitar-oriented, hard rock style, with many heavy metal and blues flavors thrown in the mix. This is the In Solid Air that continues today, becoming part of a local rock scene in Minnesota's Twin Cities.

Donovan attended Concordia University St Paul, where he met and graduated with the other members of In Solid Air. His love of rock 'n' roll has ultimately led him to work towards becoming a full-time musician. Donovan books shows for In Solid Air and writes songs for the group along with his fellow bandmates.
Chris Scott

Ryan Skille
Height: 6' 2".
Col. of Hair: Curly mess of dark brown that has developed its own consciousness.

Favorite food: Pizza (any toppings).
